About Governance

Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Chhindwara is governed by an Autonomous Society which has been registered under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act on 3rd November 2017.

The autonomous society of governed by its Executive Committee and General Body. The Executive Committee of this autonomous society is headed by Commissioner Jabalpur Division. Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Chhindwara will be headed by Dean, who will be Member Secretary for the Autonomous Society.

Government of Madhya Pradesh will monitor it through Additional Chief Secretary Medical Education, Commissioner Medical Education and Director Medical Education Grants for salary, running of the hospital will be provided by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Structure

Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Chhindwara is being constructed par excellence with objectives of modern medical education along with research facilities.

The College in future will affiliate all the Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy and Paramedical Institutes in one campus.  31 acres of land has been obtained for College campus.  The district hospital which is being upgraded is only 2 kms away on a straight main road from the college campus.

It is proposed that the campus of Medical College will have sufficient facilities for state-of-the- art teaching facilities.

Provision has been kept for construction of a 750 bed hospital on the college campus itself.  Provision has also been kept in the college building for upgradation of the total number of MBBS seats annually to 150 in the future.
